Mohawk Trail State Forest
Mohawk Trail State Forest is one of the most scenic woodland areas in Massachusetts. It covers 6,000 acres of mountain ridges, gorges, and woods, and it is home to a variety of plant and animal life. 6,457 acres located in the towns of Charlemont, Savoy, Florida and Hawley. Activities available include camping, hiking, hunting, fishing, swimming, cross-country skiing, canoeing and kayaking, and educational programs. The main entrance on Route 2 in Charlemont has a scenic picnic area, 56 campsites and swimming.
